BANDA ACEH, BBG NEWS – A total of 120 graduates from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at UBBG were awarded their degrees in the October 2023 period. The ceremony took place at the Plenary Hall on the local campus on Thursday (10/5/2023).
Acting Dean of FKIP, Dr. Rita Novita, M.Pd., congratulated and wished success to the graduates. She outlined that the graduates awarded their degrees comprised 120 individuals, with the following breakdown: 11 in Indonesian Language Education, 18 in Mathematics Education, 38 in Physical Education, 8 in English Language Education, 16 in Early Childhood Education (PG-PAUD), and 29 in Elementary School Education (PGSD).
She expressed her hope that the graduates would continue to hone their skills, as the demands in education continue to evolve. Especially now, with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum based on technological innovation in schools, competition in the field of education is intense and challenging.
UBBG Rector, Dr. Hj. Lili Kasmini, S. Si., M. Si., also congratulated the participants being awarded today in her speech. She advised the graduates to consider pursuing further education at the master’s level (S2), especially since UBBG offers S2 programs in Quality Assurance in Education and Elementary Education. Graduates can also choose to continue with the Professional Teacher Education Program (PPG) Prajab at UBBG to become professional educators. UBBG is one of the trusted private higher education institutions in Aceh accredited by the Ministry of Education and Culture for PPG implementation.
“Don’t stop learning and continue to prepare yourselves. UBBG has made efforts to provide the best education. Hopefully, this will serve as a foundation for your future careers. Keep sharpening your skills, especially in technology. Because nowadays, teachers are required to be tech-savvy. Through this, we hope you can become professional educators in the future,” she emphasized.
