BANDA ACEH, BBG NEWS – The Business Incubator (Inbis) UBBG Student Team has been nominated as one of the top 10 finalists in the Business Planning category of the 9th Universitas Teuku Umar (UTU) Awards for 2023. This information was based on the UTU website, dated Tuesday, October 24, 2023. The proposal that made it to the final is titled “Kitty Fish Delight: Innovation in Sustainable Cat Food.” The team consists of Indah Fathya (Computer Science Program), Jessica Astiana (Elementary School Teacher Education Program), and Siti Fatimah Az Zahra (Early Childhood Education Program).
The Head of Inbis UBBG, Zainal Abidin, M.Pd., stated that the success of the UBBG Inbis team is another achievement that has been accomplished, placing UBBG on par with National Higher Education Institutions throughout Indonesia, where UBBG’s name is recognized in this prestigious competition. This also proves that the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program adds value and offers a constructive and innovative learning experience to students. It’s noteworthy that the UBBG team itself does not come from business or economics backgrounds, but from the fields of computer science, early childhood education, and elementary school teacher education. Hopefully, this experience will provide soft skills and interdisciplinary insights to the students.
Vice Rector II for General Affairs, Finance, and Student Affairs, Ully Muzakir, M.T., congratulated and wished success to the Inbis UBBG team for making it to the finals and the top 10 nominations in the UTU Awards. This is a proud achievement, as they have managed to compete nationally with well-known Indonesian universities.
