BANDA ACEH, BBG NEWS – The fervor of young entrepreneurs has led the Head of the Business Incubator at Bina Bangsa Getsempena University (UBBG), Zainal Abidin, M.Pd, to achieve outstanding recognition as one of the finalists in the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ (Kemenpora) 2023 Youth Entrepreneurship Catalyst Competition, representing Sumatra, on Friday (10/13/2023). This award is given in recognition of Zainal’s exceptional contribution in nurturing, mentoring, and developing the potential of young entrepreneurs, as well as his extensive 3-year experience in this field, supported by various documented achievements and awards for his incubatees.
The Kemenpora Youth Entrepreneurship Catalyst Competition is not just about awards. The winners will have the opportunity to participate in various entrepreneurship events at the national and international levels. They can also attend valuable entrepreneurship training and workshops, expand their business networks, and gain easier access to funding.
However, the path to this achievement has not been easy. Zainal Abidin has gone through a rigorous selection process, competing with thousands of nominees from all over Indonesia, including Administrative Selection, Proposal Selection, and Online Verification Selection. The final stage, which is the ultimate interview, will take place in Jakarta on October 20-22. During this stage, nominees will undergo the final selection in the form of presentations and interviews with the jury panel, competing with 10 other nominees from across Indonesia.
Zainal Abidin’s success in overcoming these rigorous selection stages is a testament to his dedication and capabilities in the field of youth entrepreneurship. He is now ready to compete at the national level, representing UBBG and carrying the spirit of entrepreneurship from Aceh.
UBBG Rector, Dr. Lili Kasmini, M.Si, expressed, “This is a moment of pride for us. The success of the Head of UBBG Business Incubator, Zainal Abidin, is concrete evidence of our university’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among the youth of Aceh.
