BANDA ACEH, BBG NEWS – Students from the UBBG Physical Education Department who reinforced the contingent from Aceh Tengah have achieved a remarkable feat at the Banda Aceh Sport Climbing Competition. The event was organized by FPTI Banda Aceh and took place at Lhoong Raya Stadium in Banda Aceh from October 7 to 11, 2023.
UBBG Physical Education students, represented by Surya Gusfrian and Dani Syafitra, clinched prestigious titles. On this occasion, Surya secured the gold medal in the Speed Classic General Men’s category, while Dany Syafitra won the bronze. Furthermore, in the Lead General Men’s category, Surya Gusfrian once again claimed the gold medal after defeating athletes from Banda Aceh, with Dani Syafitra taking home the bronze.
Irwandi, M.Pd.AIFO, the Head of the UBBG Physical Education Program, extended his congratulations and best wishes to the UBBG Physical Education students who achieved satisfying accomplishments. He also mentioned that the students who participated in this competition are preparing for the upcoming Pomnas event in South Kalimantan in November.
“Once again, congratulations to Surya Gusfrian and Dani Syafitra. May this serve as a benchmark for their abilities before heading there,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Ully Muzakir, M.T., Vice Rector II for General Affairs and Student Affairs, expressed appreciation for this achievement. UBBG, as one of the top private universities in Aceh, consistently supports the development of students’ interests, talents, and creativity by providing various supporting facilities. Undoubtedly, this contributes to the various achievements of the students.
